Go Back

One Sunday morning in June 1998, my friend KC drove up to the house in his '71 Jaguar Convertible and kidnapped me away from my fiancé and our wedding plans. With the top down, wind in our hair, (and bugs in our teeth), we sped off to the annual Victor Auto Show, sponsored by the MG Club of Rochester.

Normally held on the grounds at the Victor High School, that year the it was sprawled across the grassy front field of the Finger Lakes Race Track. I've been to a few auto shows, but this one has to be the biggest in the Rochester Area. And although the show is sponsored by the MG Club of Rochester, there were makes and models from every decade and every manufacturer. It was an amazing sight.

Naturally, I took my digital camera with us, first most to take pictures of the cars, but also to provide image stock for a web-design project. I wanted to design a photo presentation technique that integrated thumbnails with the target photo. What I came up with is this frame-page design. Scroll through the thumbnail images on the left and click on any one of them - the resulting image will appear on this side of the browser window. If this works out, I'll be presenting wedding and honeymoon photos this way. Enjoy!
